IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Drilling Engineer to work for an independent oil and gas producer in Eastern Oklahoma. This position reviews offset well data to develop plan for simple to complex drilling and completion operations based on Geologic Prognosis reports. Bids equipment and services to optimize efficiency and minimize cost. Supervises drilling and completion foremen to optimize safe and efficient operations. Contributes to preparation of proposals for Exploratory projects. Designs casing strings for all well types from simple to deep, directional projects. Makes recommendations for performance improvements.Tracks cost and operational efficiency on a daily basis; Compares Field estimated to Booked well costs; supports input of field data into Dims database. Works closely with geologists, production engineers and field operations personnel. Directs Drilling technicians as needed. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree (BSME or Petroleum Engineering preferably) and 3-5 years drilling experience. Knowledge of unconventional gas resource recovery applications is preferred. Position can be based in Tulsa or Dallas-Ft Worth areas. APPLY TODAY.
