Job descriptionAnalyse internal corrosion problems using coupons, corrosion probes, chemical analysis and the results of on-stream inspection.
Recommend corrosion preventative measures using coatings, linings, inhibitors and change of material.
Set up programmes to monitor the effectiveness of the remedial methods.
Set up programmes of investigation on plant to check the effectiveness of corrosion control programmes, assess the results and modify where necessary.
Maintain existing records and set up new record systems as necessary and make regular reports in a technically competent and literate manner.
RequirementsBSc. in a corrosion related subject, 10 years post graduate experience with a minimum of 5 – 8 years experience in the oil/gas petrochemical industry.
A strong background in metallurgy will be seen to be a distinct advantage.
