Overview:
Stimulation Leadership
• Lead the Stimulation Community of Practice
• Insure each Business Unit’s stimulation work processes meet high standards through periodic reviews
• Determine metrics to measure the effectiveness of stimulation practices
• Evaluate practices that support enhancement of stimulation jobs, e.g. quality control of acid, frac fluids, proppant, optimization of job size
• Develop / identify training for stimulation
• Consult and mentor engineers in Business Units on stimulation opportunities
• Proactively work with the Business Units to expand the knowledge of well inflow performance analysis and participation in the Community of Practice
• Maintain the Community of Practice Teamsite
Business Development Project Support
• Participate on various “as needed” business development opportunity evaluation teams o Assist in developing operating cost forecasts o Evaluate well utility for future depletion plans o Work with the team to recommend field development options o Recommend completion designs
Standards, Specifications, Guideline Development
• Assist in development of standards for well equipment, e.g. wellheads, downhole tubulars
• Assist in development of well completion and servicing standards / practices
Responsibilities:
• Breadth of Production / Operations engineering experience with reservoirs under primary, secondary and tertiary depletion methods (10+ years oil industry experience)
• Nodal analysis skills and well inflow diagnostics
• Knowledge of fracturing design and optimization
• Knowledge of acidizing design and optimization
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Cost benefit analysis
• Ability to interact with a diverse set of people in multiple countries and time zones
• Motivation and commitment building ability for teams
• Self starter that is results/value oriented
• Deals well with ambiguity
• Knowledge of Oxy standard technical applications and data systems are a plus
• Network of experts in stimulation in the industry
