Mechanical Engineer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A. EDUCATION: B.S. in Engineering.

B. EXPERIENCE: Seven (7) years in the oil industry or similar process industry. Experience must be such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as being capable of project and design assignments beyond the ability of the basic professional ENGINEER III

or is qualified to an outstanding degree in one or another Specialist category.

C. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: A thorough knowledge of English is required to perform analyses and studies in depth, make professional presentations and keep up with technical advancements; Arabic not required but considered desirable for American incumbents in this position.

D. OTHER: Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, US and Aramco Codes, Standards and Specifications, BS in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years experience in the Hydrocarbon Industry.

Experience: Design Engineer with a Bachelor of Mech.Engineering degree from an internationally recognized Institution. Minimum of 10

years experience in hydrocarbon industry. Must be familiar with piping design and stress analysis (CAESAR software is a plus. Working knowledge of piping code ASME B31.3, B31.4 & B31.8 process flow and piping and instrument diagrams (Microstation familiarity is a plus. Hydraulic design of piping systems (use of Crane handbook or relevant software) and ability to lead designers and draftsment in detailed piping design. Development of data sheets and basic design of pressure vessels. Working knowledge of the pressure vessels code ASME Sec.VIII DIV I. Fundamentals of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.) and HVAC.
