Description:CCL has been requested by a major international oil and gas company to provide a Senior Contracts Engineer to be based in Nigeria. Duration of contract 12 months with possibility of extension. Single status - 5 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 6 working days a week. Internationally competitive rates and good conditions.
Qualifications:BSc degree in Engineering or business. Good understanding of Legal aspects related to this domain, in particular regarding liabilities. Knowledge of SAP environment an advantage. Proven experience in similar actions aiming to rationalize number of contracts. Sense of organisation, analytical thinking, initiative, thorough knowledge of purchasing process. Good experience and knowledge of complex high value and high risk contracts in a variety of user areas. Willingness to share expertise and transfer knowledge to colleagues. In depth knowledge and understanding of commercial, insurance and legal issues affecting Exploration & Production. An experience within a Client subsidiary on a similar position would be a plus. Demonstrable understanding of technologies existing within an oil and gas operator. Focused on delivering added value with ability to prioritise effectively and willingness to challenge / say no provided job-holder can justify reasons. General understanding of Company's business functions. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Experience:10 years' practical experience in preparation and negotiation of complex technical contracts. At least 5 years' experience in the offshore oil or petrochemical industries. Proven experience of Contracts creation in domain of Exploration & Production in Oil Industries. Large scope of experience with regards to contracts (Drilling related Services, Maintenance, Seismic acquisition and processing).
