Underground Surveyor

Under the direction of the mine planning and production team leader the underground surveyor will be responsible for a range of duties which may include and not restricted to:

• Ensures that safety is imparted as the # 1 priority in all activities.

• Maintain underground prints and databases.

• Perform check surveys

• Provide survey service to development and production activities.

• Some coverage for surface survey crew.

The successful candidate should possess a diploma / certificate in Surveying / Geomatics technology with a minimum of 2 years experience. Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and exposure to mine planning software. Familiarity with Vulcan software is preferred and the ability to explain procedures and methodologies clearly - both verbal and written.

The EKATI Diamond Mine is located 300 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife and is accessible only by plane. The hours of employment are 12 hours per day, 2 weeks on site, followed by 2 weeks off.
