Job descriptionScope of Duties
Responsible for the development and implementation of training and systems to support the Company Competence Development Programme for Engineers, and Technicians. He will be required to assist in the design and production of suitable training support material to ensure that the Competence Development Programme Quality Standards are maintained and that there is uniformity in the delivery of high standards of training which includes both ‘on and off the job training’. The successful candidate should also be able to:
1.Coach the Developees (Engineers and Technicians) in both theoretical and practical activities as defined within the ADNOC Competency frame work and plan and follow-up the work based activities appropriate to the development of their skills and knowledge.
2.Possess multi skills on machining operations, Fabrication, welding, rigging and scaffolding, boiler maker on workshop environment in oil and gas Industry.
3.Must be proficient in dismantling major mechanical equipments and systems in major workshop
4.In collaboration with other Training Centre staff, design and produce a comprehensive system for ensuring that the practical competence of the workforce is developed to the required standards
5.Deliver ‘short sharp’ practical courses which emphasis the acquisition of practical skills
6.Design, produce and deliver practical material for remedial work as identified by GAP analysis
7.In close cooperation with the Developees and the input of Line team members and other Training Centre staff, develop and produce Personal Development Plans, Service Level Agreement and Personal Development Records for Developees.
8.Maintain good working relationship with other Training Centre staff
9.Observe and monitor competence checks of individual Developees
10.In consultation with Line closely monitor the rotation of Developees and the effectiveness of the training
11.Track the progress of Developees and produce reports as required.
RequirementsMinimum Requirements:
1.Aged 36-56
2.B Sc. or equivalent
3.Completion of an approved programme of practical training, such as Apprenticeship or Professional Institution/ Engineering Training Body / Armed Services / accredited training programme and / or SVQ/NVQ Accreditations.
4.Very good standard of written and spoken English Language
5.Five years experience of the Oil and Gas Industry, with a further six years related multi skills mechanical trade. He should be a skill oriented person in welding, fabrication, Machining operations, Rigging and Scaffolding particularly for oil and gas environment.
6.Must be computer literate
7.Good interpersonal skills
Other remarksRemuneration Package:
1. 5 / 2 work cycle, 38 days annual leave + 14 days public holidays
