KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and manage timely filing of consolidated US Federal and State Corporate income tax returns, including reporting of international operations and responses to US tax audit queries.

• Manage and review BHP Billiton’s US tax accounting position to ensure proper financial statement presentation under USGAAP and International Accounting Standards.

• Facilitate and prepare US current and long range tax forecasts, including coordination with business groups to obtain forecast data. Preparation and review of quarterly estimated tax and extension payments.

• Support transaction and planning team and special projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years practical experience in U.S. and international tax compliance and accounting including consolidated returns.

• Experience with U.S. federal and state, international, corporation and partnership taxation.

• Strong computer skills with particular emphasis on spreadsheet analysis and tax compliance software.

• Excellent communication skills - able to interact with business units and people at different levels of the organization.

• Attention to detail and desire to learn

• Flexible personality that can effectively thrive in a team environment.

• BS/BA in finance or accounting. CPA strongly preferred. Resource industry experience a strong plus.
