Rapidly growing energy services business with annual revenues of $1.0 billion is seeking a DIVISION CONTROLLER for one of their divisions with revenues of approximately $325M annually. This division operates primarily in the domestic US had has experienced significant growth in a rapidly growing segment of the oil and gas services market. This is a highly visible position and the successful candidate will be the person who wants to make a difference and achieve the highest level of excellence based on their abilities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years accounting experience in oil field services with strong job costing, revenue recognition and ERP systems experience.
The Division Controller is responsible for all financial reporting for the division, accounting for multiple locations, management reporting and analysis, cash forecasting, SOX 404 compliance, profit planning and forecasting, internal control development and monitoring, and daily supervision of the accounting department. The position is also responsible for special projects, including accounting issue resolution, development of new or improved accounting and business processes and procedures, acquisition due diligence, and strategic planning.
QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Minimum of 15 years of overall accounting experience, preferably in a mid to large size oil and gas services company, with Big 4 audit experience a plus.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification desired.
• Proactive and detail oriented individual capable of monitoring the financial systems and controls, and making the necessary changes to upgrade systems, policies and procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of various revenue recognition principles including percentage of completion.
• Proven abilities in managing a job cost accounting system and all related IT system, reporting and budgeting aspects.
• Familiar with the calculation and maintenance of Asset Retirement Obligations (SFAS 143 principles).
• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Working knowledge of SOX 404 requirements.
• Oversee compliance of daily accounting procedures, maintenance of monthly, quarterly and year-end closing schedules and the timely preparation of reporting packages.
• Experience in working closely with operations to develop economic models for acquisition and capital spending analysis, and in performing accounting and financial due diligence on acquisitions.
MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED IN WORK FULL TIME IN THE U.S.
