Growing independent exploration and production company with both domestic and international operations is seeking an ENGINEERING TECHNICAL ASSISTANT for their Exploration & Production Technology business unit located in Houston, TX.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a visible, dynamic position which works closely with other groups within Exploration & Production Technology providing a range of technical support. Additionally, this position will work closely with other parts of the Value Chain in support of improving our processes and standards globally. Strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in managing the Exploration & Production Technology website.
• Assist in preparation of management presentations.
• Provide basic PEEP user support.
• Support the Economic Tools group with PEEP data file maintenance, organizing training classes and setting up issue tracking and documentation system.
• Conduct special projects as needed.
• Provide assistance to the Global Reserves Coordinator as needed.
• Play a key role in coordinating external project portfolio – including screening new opportunities, maintaining data records, providing budget/actual spend tracking and reports as necessary.
• Support the Chiefs in maintaining the external publication process, including approvals, tracking and publication on the Company intranet.
• Provide support to Exploration & Production Technology management as required - e.g. ad hoc requests, weekly reports etc.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• 5-10 years oil and gas experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Engineering preferred.
• In depth knowledge and experience with PEEP preferred.
• Experienced in building and maintaining databases.
• Strong computer skills, particularly Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of web page design.
• Knowledge of economic modeling and economic modeling software.
• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
CANDIDATES MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE U.S.
