Energy Job Description
Privately-held company in Tulsa, OK involved in the exploration and development of oil and gas reserves.Founded in 1981, the company currently has interests in over 200 wells.The company currently participates in 25-30 wells each year generating approximately $10 million in annual revenues. This position is responsible for performing a broad range of data preparation and analysis functions in order to complete geological and engineering information for, and provide technical support to, the Vice President, Exploration. Depending on experience level, some prospect generation responsiblities may be included. Responsiblities include: 1) Create and maintain geological databases using MJ, IHS, and PETRA software. 2) Build and maintain regional surface and subsurface maops to aid in prospect identification. 3) Update, maintain and utilize digital well log database in the preparation of cross-sections. 4) Review geological and engineering reports to extract pertinet data and post to maps. 5) Compile information to prepare oil/gas well records for well files. 6)Assemble and distribute prepared charts, maps, and reports, as requested.
Required Experience:
Related experience with PETRA software required.
Related experience in an independent oil and gas company preferred.
Experience in creating, manipulation and transmitting data utilizing Microsoft office software.
Prefer related Geotec experience in Oklahoma, Kansas and the Permian Basin and Panhandle areas of Texas.

PC Proficiency - Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers, including spreadsheet and database applications.

Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively, especially in one-on-one and small group situations.
This Job Requires the Following Computer Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers, including spreadsheet and database applications.
PETRA experience required, MJ and IHS experience a plus.
Education Required:
Completion of college hours in mathematics or computer sciences a definite plus.

Travel Required: 10% of the time (approximate)
