Mechanical Engineer

CCL has been requested by an international oil and gas operating company to provide a Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment) to be based in Southern Algeria on a long term contract basis (12 months) working on a rotation of 28 / 28. Very good standard of camp accommodation, local transportation and meals are provided by client. CCL provides Medical Insurance, including Medivac. Good daily rate paid 30 days per rotation and free of local taxes.
Ideal candidate will be well educated and have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience. MS Project minimum / Primavera P3 would be an advantage. An ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and strong communication and presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English and French. Arabic beneficial. Cultural sensitivity in host country.
Ideal candidate should have at least 5 years’ previous oilfield experience of compressors, pumps, turbines and large rotating machinery as it has to do with production operations rather than a project. Experience in Maintenance Department in oil / gas or petrochemical industry. Ability to analyse problems and provide alternative solutions. Shutdown planning / programming experience required.
