Helix Corporate Human Resources has a need for a dynamic and talented Field Engineer for the Deepwater Group. The Field Engineer will work under the guidance of a Project Engineer or Project Manager in the execution of offshore construction projects.
The qualified incumbent will:
Assist Project Engineer and Project Manager in planning and executing assigned projects per “Standard Project Management Procedures”. Read and understand contract documents, client specifications, subcontract proposals and procedures and attend pre and post award meetings with client. Develop procedures for offshore installation and execution of contract. Work offshore on installation vessel implementing plan and auditing operations for compliance with contract. Develop lessons learned and distribute to project peers. Assist Proposal Managers with the development of proposals in response to RFQ’s required. Attend and participate in peer and executive review sessions as requested.
Experience Required:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. New graduates preferred. This is an entry-level Engineering position and experienced applicants shouldn’t exceed more than 1 to 2 years professional work experience. You should have a mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to understand how and why things work; resume or CV should include hobbies or internships demonstrating mechanical interests or seasonal experience. Individuals with an Automotive Engineering background are welcome to apply.
Because Helix is an international organization you must have the willingness and ability to travel and work offshore in international waters for extended periods of time.
