Qualifications:
Possess an applicable engineering degree or technical diploma complemented with a minimum 5 years corrosion control experience in the oil & gas industry;
Minimum NACE Corrosion Technologist certification;
API certification and / or other industry equivalents are an asset;
Strong knowledge of pipeline regulations, in particular CSA Z662-03 and Annex M & N;
Excellent working knowledge of corrosion & production chemical programs, product application methods, and effectiveness monitoring;
Experience with magnetic flux leakage in-line inspection and associated prove-up techniques are a requirement;
Knowledge of well integrity management practices are a preferred asset;
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Proficient in all MS Office programs (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
Responsibilities:
Act as a strong team participant of both corporate and district level pipeline integrity projects and programs;
Responsible for Chemical Programs technical support, optimization, and performance monitoring;
Develop & manage Cathodic Protection programs and make recommendations as required;
Recommendation of Non-metallic Materials for well and pipeline corrosion control;
Develop corrosion integrity programs, implement & monitor for effectiveness;
Perform corrosion related failure investigations, determine root cause, implement remedial action, and liaise with jurisdictions;
Implement the company's Pipeline Integrity Management Plan per CSA Annex N requirements;
Develop corrosion integrity standards and procedures to provide guidance to Business Unit and District staff in performance of corrosion integrity management duties;
Mentor and assist district field staff with corrosion management program effectiveness monitoring;
Field travel to all of our field locations will be required.
