Our client is actively searching for a Civil Engineer for one of their nuclear power stations located in South Carolina.
This position will function as a technical member of civil engineering team providing daily support to nuclear station activities. Will be required to respond to off-hours call-outs as necessary to support emergent plant issues. The right candidate will need BSCE or BSME and five years experience providing engineering support in the electrical power and/or nuclear industry. Other desired qualifications will be: To have the ability to perform analyses of steel and reinforced concrete structures utilizing GT STRUDL, STAAD, or other structural analysis program for static and/or dynamic (seismic) loading conditions. Have the ability to design and evaluate concrete expansion anchor connections. Posses the ability to perform finite element analyses using ANSYS or other computer program and to analyze piping to ASME Section III or ANSI B31.1 Code requirements (Class 2 & 3 piping analyses). Also have the ability to analyze piping to ASME Section III Code requirements for Class 1 piping.
