MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: B.S. in instrumentation related discipline. Experience: Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience related to analytical instrumentation maintenance & repair. Minimum 5 to 10 years experience related to Pilot Plant maintenance or process related instrumentation maintenance and repair. Experience working with research scientists. Ability and willingness to repair complex instrumentation using electronic test equipment, tools, etc. Familiarity with automation software such as Delta V + or Intellution. Ability to lift and carry loads up to 30 lbs. Ability to climb stairs and ladders daily. Computer literate # familiar with Office products. A high level of Interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in English - written and spoken.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to: Work with Pilot Plant scientists, engineers and technicians providing the hands-on support necessary to maintain multiple Pilot Plants. Schedule and implement Pilot Plant preventive maintenance based on pilot Plant operations and defined maintenance requirements. Advises on technical issues related to purchases of new instrumentation. Manage site preparation for new instrumentation purchases and insures safe and successful installations. Perform Pilot Plant systems modifications based on design changes approved by Pilot Plant Engineers. Document all maintenance activities in various formats required by Pilot Plant operations and the Instrument Shop. Maintain accurate inventory and tracking of Pilot Plant maintenance and repair parts and order replacement parts when necessary. Liaison with technical representatives of instrumentation vendors and oversees on-site maintenance and service activities by outside engineers. Mentor and oversee development of I&FU Saudi Arab staff.

Maintains and repairs laboratory electronic instruments. Repairs of some of the less sophisticated instruments may be done in the satellite laboratories. Calibrates such instruments when calibration is an essential part of repair or maintenance. Maintains records of repair and maintenance and reports same to Supervisor as required. Maintains warranty records. Maintains sufficient stock of essential electronic spare parts to carry out maintenance and repair. Maintains liaison with instrument vendors as required for warranty repairs. Provides liaison between laboratory and technical representative of instrument vendors. Keeps abreast of new developments and applications of instrumental approaches to laboratory work.
