THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a leading international oil and gas contractor to source an Electrical Engineer. Client would prefer candidate based in Houston / within traveling distance. Must be willing to travel as and when required by Client. Only US citizens or residents should apply. Very good career prospects within a world famous company. This is being handled by CCLs Houston office.
THE PERSON
Electrical Power System Engineer with thorough knowledge of Motor Control Centers Design, Switchboard Design, Electrical Load Analysis, Short Circuit and Marine Lighting System Design, Voltage Drop Analysis, understanding of Process Instrumentation & Overall Distributive Control System Design. Experience in design of Electrical Systems for offshore marine vessels / systems. Review / comment on Electrical Design Basis, Area Classification Deck Plan Drawings. Assist in following: Sizing of Low Voltage Slip Ring to determine number and size of Power Paths. Develop Equipment List; Turret Electrical Load List; Normal Power One-Line Diagram; Emergency Power One-Line Diagram; AC / DC UPS Sizing Design. Produce Heat Trace Design Report; Heat Trace Power One-Line Diagram. E&I Block Diagram. Arrange layout of the Turret Local Equipment Room (LER).
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ideal candidate will be well educated and have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equal related work experience. Use BV & Russian Maritime Register regulations in E&I Feed Study Design. Able to consult with other client departments, suppliers and certifying authorities on equipment designs, issues or questions. Review / comment all client projects electrical / instrument specifications / documents. Must be detail oriented with ability to work in a team, plus a motivated self starter. Must have organizational and software skills. Should be fluent in written and spoken English. US citizens or Green Card holders only.
