About the Job
GEOTECHS - EXPLORATION
Immediate openings in Pittsburgh - Communicate with Geologists and Geophysicists and assist with the compilation, acquisition, preparation, loading, analysis and quality control of oil and gas well, geologic and seismic data. Generate geological maps and cross sections from basic information as well as digitize logs and maps. Candidate must maintain exploration, land, and pipeline maps, databases and postings; Candidate will prepare presentations in PowerPoint; Hands on knowledge and experience required with one or more oil industry mapping software platforms such as GeoGraphix, Kingdom Suite, ESRI or AutoCAD among others; perform all other duties that are assigned to meet the objectives of this position.
High School diploma required; B.S. or B.A. degree in Geology preferred. Seek Motivated, Self Starter willing to go the extra mile and work in a fast-paced exploration environment where multi-tasking is routine. Position requires working knowledge of MS Office suite and oil and gas industry well, production, seismic and log data formats.
