Our client is an International oil & gas service provider who has recently been awarded a major contract for designing, constructing and delivering a gravity base structure (GBS) located in Russia.
I am seeking Field Civil Engineers with project construction experience to work on this exciting project. For pay rolling purposes you must be located in Australia for this opportunity or if located overseas, MUST BE WORKING UNDER YOUR OWN BUSINESS NAME WITH ALL THE RELEVANT INSURANCES – Candidates can not be considered who do not fall into this category. This is a rotational role and your departure point is irrelevant.
You will act as our client’s engineering representative on site, supporting technical issues and liaising with construction personnel. You will take on interface responsibility between the site in Russia and Oslo.
Your main duties will include:
• Liaise with civil construction personnel contractors
• Contribute to problem solving and discuss drawings and documents with civil personnel
• Provide feedback to the engineering group in Oslo
• Obtain missing information on engineering documents and clarify unclear information
• Handling changes and update necessary engineering documents
You must have previous GBS experience on large scale projects within the EPCM environment or be a concrete specialist. Previous experience working with concrete in an arctic or sub-zero environment and speaking Russian would be an advantage. You will need to have access to your original degree as this is a requirement of obtaining your Russian work permit.
