Technician - Pipeline/Integrity/Technician 40-50 K/yr

Location: Nashville, TN, USA
Natural Gas Pipeline operator has immediate need for a Systems Integrity Technician (Pipeline Integrity / cathodic protection) at its Central Tennessee location to support pipeline integrity for both transmission and distribution systems. Position is nonexempt hourly.

Responsibilities:

-> Ensuring the operational integrity and adequate cathodic protection of both transmission and distribution systems
-> Supporting pipeline integrity operations

Requirements:

-> Must have a high school diploma (two year associates degree in electronics preferred)
-> Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
-> Must have a minimum two (2) years experience in pipeline corrosion control / cathodic protection
-> Must attain CP Tester NACE certification (Level II) within one year of hire date ( CP Tester NACE certified Level II strongly desired)
-> Ability to learn GIS and operate GPS equipment (prior experience greatly preferred)
-> Must have mathematical and electric aptitude and basic computer skills to include proficiency with MS Office
-> Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekend, holidays and overnight travel
-> Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, walk long distances over uneven terrain, lift 50 lbs, drive long distances, climb ladders
-> Nondestructive testing (NDT) certification strongly desired
