Location: Saudi Arabia POSITION DESCRIPTION The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following: Applicable duties of inspection field supervisor and complex electrical field inspections. This includes the typical work responsibilities, but not limited to; planning, scheduling, and providing work direction to a Group or Unit level of regular and contractor(s) employees, conducting frequent visits to construction sites and/or maintenance projects to resolve inspection related problems. Providing adequate development and training of the lesser-qualified inspectors through mentorship and providing guidance to lower classified and young inspectors.
SELECTION CRITERIA The incumbent will have frequent contact with middle management within Projects Management, Construction, Operations, and Electrical Services Organizations to discuss and resolve engineering problems. Electrical incumbent must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and IEEE or equivalent. In addition the candidate will be expected to act as the focal point of contact for project reviews and in technical matters related to the field of engineering. Also, the candidate will be considered as an expert in one or more recognized engineering fields and is required to undertake or coordinate complex engineering work. Preferred candidates to possess IRCA certification and be QMS knowledgeable.
COMMENTS The incumbent will be assigned to the Inspection Department's Southern Area Projects Division where he will have frequent contacts with operating Division and Unit Heads to ascertain problems, define scope of projects, and develop solutions. There will be occasional contact with Managers and infrequent contact with Executive Management in responding to inquiries or presenting conclusions of his research. In addition, there will be frequent contacts with suppliers of data and information such as estimating engineers, construction engineers, accountants, programmers, etc...
