Location: Saudi Arabia MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS Engineering, Major Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Professional Engineering license preferred but not required. Experience: Minimum of 10 years instrumentation field experience in oil and gas industry with emphasis on mechanical instrumentation systems. Must have proven experience in plant instrumentation and control system with emphasis on large control valves, relief valves, and surge control valves. Experience in developing and reviewing P&ID's, instrument loop diagrams, wiring diagrams and equipment specification for oil and gas projects. Must be able to develop and maintain company standards and specifications and be familiar with international and industry standards such NEC, NFPA, ISA and API. Must have field experience with wide variety of control valves, relief valves and surge relief systems. Specific experience is required with severe service application.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be familiar with control valve, relief valve and surge control valves sizing and applications. Also must be familiar with analog and smart pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments manufactured by leading suppliers such as: Fisher-Rosemount, Foxboro, Honeywell or Yokogawa. Will be responsible for exploring new mechanical instrumentation technologies and provide leadership in application of these technologies to improve plant operation efficiencies. Provide high-level technical support to Operations and maintenance organizations to resolve chronic problems with field mechanical instrumentation systems. Will also provide technical leadership in development of other less experienced engineers. Interpret compliance of plant instrumentation with company and international standards such as API, NEC, ISA, and IEEE. Develop and revise Company standards. Review design package prepared by others for major oil, gas pipelines and refinery projects.
