Location: Saudi Arabia MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS Business Administration, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology. Experience: Ten or more years combined experience in two or more of the following areas: project design, contract administration, scheduling and cost-control, inventory management and control, design take-off engineering or traffic planning. An excellent command of written and spoken English. Thorough knowledge of the ARAMCO materials systems and operating procedures, inventory control principals, knowledge of forecasting and procurement systems and policies.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees the indoctrination of project personnel in the intricacies of the ARAMCO materials system and directs the on-going materials effort. Serves as the primary liaison between the Project Manager and the Materials Supply Organization in all facets of materials support. Coordinates the development and implementation strategy for the supply of material in a variety of contracting situations, i.e. lump- sum turnkey, reimbursable cost, etc. Conducts frequent materials coordination meetings with project management personnel to alert them to existing or potential problems relative to materials availability. Coordinates and expedites requisition preparation consistent with project fabrication, construction and on-stream dates. Prepares and validates forecasts for materials tonnage and highlights special transportation requirements for oversize or heavy- lift handling. Reports on contractor compliance to contract provisions for the supply and accountability of materials and recommends follow-up action as appropriate. Ensures that project material requirements are complete, reviewed against excess and surplus inventories and forecasted with maximum lead time. Monitors project compliance with Company policy pertaining to the identification, requisitioning and delivery of spare parts required to support start-up and commissioning. Requires interface with the Commissioning and Expediting Unit to provide critical support during final project activities. Controls and directs the disposition of unused project materials throughout the life of the project. Responsible for ensuring that the best financial interests of the Company are represented while complying with MSO and corporate policy pertaining to materials disposition. Coordinates and directs all efforts to identify and use surplus and excess materials. Encourages such use by providing all documentation necessary to evaluate inclusion of these materials. May include financial justification and administration.
