Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.
An opportunity exists for an experienced and exceptionally organised Administrator, with a thorough attention to detail, to join our Planning and Quality Department in Newman. You will be primarily responsible for providing secretarial and office administration support to the Manager, Superintendents and Staff in the Department.
Position Synopsis
As a person of integrity you will be expected to take responsibility for tasks delegated to you by the Manager Planning and Quality & his Direct Reports. You will focus on the following within the Planning and Quality Department:
* Document Control Officer for Planning, Quality and Laboratory
* Provide clerical/secretarial services;
* Raise purchase requisitions, purchase orders and service entry sheets for major contracts;
* Scheduling appointments, organising meetings and presentations, and coordinating functions;
* Ordering stationery, office equipment and supplies;
* Generating daily and monthly figures for reports;
* Managing communications and information flow, including sorting and processing mail, handling enquiries and photocopying and maintaining safety notices;
* Reviewing and improving Department reporting systems as required;
* Recording all incidents / accidents / injuries for the Department in the First Priority system;
* Recording all staff leave;
* Arranging all accommodation and travel for staff; and
* Managing Personnel Training records.
Skills and Experience
To be considered, you will have a proven track record of success in the office administration arena, and demonstrate a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of applications. Your excellent oral and written communication skills, professional approach and advanced multi-tasking capabilities are critical success factors. Experience in SAP would be viewed favourably.
