The Diamonds and Specialty Products Customer Sector Group (CSG) includes our diamond and titanium minerals businesses, as well as our potash projects. Our principal operations are located in Canada and South Africa.
An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for an individual to become part of our talented team. As a Business Analyst you will be accountable for providing support to the management of Diamonds and Specialty Products in relation to financial accounting, management reporting, statutory reporting, subsidiary management, governance and budgeting and forecasting processes.
Your key responsibilities include:

Providing effective, timely and accurate management and financial information, analysis and commentary for the CSG to D&SP management and Group Reporting for monthly and annual/half year reporting

Providing financial information, analysis and commentary for the budgeting and planning process for the CSG to D&SP management and to Group Reporting.

Prepare annual timetable, coordinate the preparation/ outsource of local subsidiary accounts, analytical review of draft accounts, coordinate with Company Secretarial for approval and submission
*
Management of legal entities and associated funding and stewardship activities
*
SOX Champion, maintaining an effective system of internal control and adherence to appropriate corporate governance practices
*
Maintaining the general ledger and preparing reconciliations for entities that are under the responsibility of D&SP CSG Finance.
*
Provides overhead cost centre support
Experience & Qualifications Required
* Possess a degree in business, finance or accounting
* CA/CPA qualified
* Superior interpersonal skills to handle various customer and stakeholder groups
* Good problem-solving skills, analysis, judgement, and decision-making
