ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Oversight of costs for the Engineering function including G&A for each of the teams
* Review and assess G&A reports for Engineering on a monthly basis; work any issues; including review of basic G&A accounting / reporting support for the Engineering group and feedback issues to Controller function
* Reporting and control of the Production Technology budget and other project budgets
* Management of controls and financial procedures for the Engineering team
* Management of the timewrite process and methodology for the Engineering team
* Coordinate and manage the Engineering team’s budget processes
* Provision of analysis and support to VP Finance Production regarding Production Division analysis of costs
* Provision of analysis and support to VP Finance Production regarding Production Division processes and controls
* Develop accounting standards / policies / procedures as required
* Liaison Point with Group Risk on Insurance budgets and forecast.
* Develop and manage Petroleum’s insurance allocation methodology.
* Provide overview of oil marketing activities from the Petroleum CSG perspective
* Provide DOA advice for insurance and engineering functions

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
* Post Graduate business qualifications, preferred
* Undergraduate Degree in Accounting / Finance
Experience & Technical Competencies:
* Ability to work in a global role
* Undergraduate degree in business, finance or accounting
* MBA &/or CPA is strongly preferred
* 3-5 years experience in the oil and gas industry (preferably upstream E&P or energy industry audit)
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Excellent analytical skills with strong proficiency in enterprise wide business systems including SAP, business warehouses, etc.
* Knowledge of petroleum industry best practices and accounting standards
* Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative style, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* A self-starter who works well without close supervision
* Strong customer focus with good judgement and problem solving skills
