Location: Australia BMA Broadmeadow Mine is a punch Longwall underground coal mine, located 190km south west of Mackay, and the Whitsunday Coast. Broadmeadow Mine has the capacity to produce over 3 mtpa of high quality coking coal. We are seeking applications from highly motivated self starters interested in a development opportunity in an electrical role within the Broadmeadow Mine Development Department.
The primary responsibility of a Maintenance Team Leader is for the safe coordination and delivery of the daily maintenance activities for our underground development operations.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Comply with our Health, Safety, Environment and Community Management System, the coal mining legislation, and company policies and procedures
Demonstrate commitment to, and assist in, complying with the mines operating standards and procedures
Ensure all work is adequately planned, resourced and undertaken in a safe and cost effective manner
Coach and develop the Maintenance Technicians
Foster a positive and productive working relationship between team members and with other crews
Requirements of the role:
Demonstrated commitment to achieving Zero Harm
Hold appropriate electrical trade qualifications
Ideally have prior experience in the mining industry
Supervisory experience would be advantageous, but is not essential
Experience using a computerised maintenance system would be highly recognised
