Position Synopsis
We are now seeking an organised and analytical individual experienced in overseeing the planning of isolations, permitting, development and delivery of isolation and electrical training packages along with reviewing and developing permitting procedures within the Port Electrical Maintenance Department and WA Iron ore.
Key Duties will include:
* Promotion of safe work practices within permit and isolation system requirements so as to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors;
* Monitor review and audit policies and procedures related to isolations, permitting and safe work procedures for continuous improvement recommendations;
* Providing mentoring and development support to other within the team along with coaching of individuals in using WA Iron Ore permitting and isolation system in a safe effective manner;
* Supervise the training needs analysis process for all training requirements in isolations, electrical and permitting and;
* Participate and lead investigations into permit, tagging and isolations events.
Skills & Experience
To be considered you must have a Trades Certificate in the Mechanical/Electrical Field or come from a Senior Operations Technician background and demonstrated experience within WA Iron Ore isolations, permitting and tagging procedures. Well developed interpersonal and communication skills will provide you with the ability to build constructive relationships with your team and other teams within the business.
Along with coaching experience a Cert IV in Training and Assessing will also be favourably viewed. In addition demonstrated experience with PC based planning systems and the ability to present plans budgets and ideas will be highly regarded.

This is a residential role, based in Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
