Electrical Maintenance Planner

Position Synopsis

Our Whaleback Ore Processing Department (Fixed Plant) now invites you to consider operating within an established maintenance management system, where your efforts will involve a high level of independent judgement. In this role you will assume accountability for the developing of day to day maintenance plans and schedules, thereby actively contributing to ensuring the planned performance and integrity of our low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, at the lowest practical cost.

Your duties will include:

* Preparing detailed work plans that include personnel, plant, equipment and parts availability for the timely and successful execution of work orders;
* Ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations;
* Ensuring an accurate maintenance history is compiled and that the maintenance backlog is updated and managed;
* Monitoring KPI’s, and assisting with budget and cost control processes;
* Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness;
* Ensuring that the Work Management Process Flow is adhered to by all disciplines within the workgroup;
* Manage and improve on our maintenance plans in line with our continuous improvement program;
* Maintaining high levels of communication with team members and stakeholders; and
* Managing off-site repairs of equipment.

Skills and Experience

Serious contenders must have an appropriate trade or tertiary qualification in the Electrical field, complemented by significant experience in detailed scoping and maintenance planning, from small daily tasks to multiple-day, complex activities. Proficient with computers, your knowledge of SAP and MS Project will be highly regarded.

Team-spirited and confident, your technical strengths will be supplemented by a proven commitment to safety and effective communication skills, facilitating your efforts to build productive relationships with stakeholders.

Location

This is a residential role based in Newman, a town of approximately eight thousand people. It has excellent sporting facilities that cater for a wide range of interests and age groups, a well-appointed shopping centre, and education services to senior level.

Full relocation and subsidised housing will be offered to the successful applicant.
