We are expanding every facet of our Iron Ore business as we develop new ways to deliver competitive advantages to our customers. Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.

Position Synopsis

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our business. Supporting our Vice President Asset Reliability and Sustaining Capital, we are seeking an exceptionally organised and team-spirited assistant to provide high-level executive support.

The scope of this role includes:

* Providing diary management for the VP and GM, ensuring optimal time utilisation;
* Liaising with internal and external parties in relation to meetings and information exchange;
* Coordination of travel itineraries including accommodation and transport bookings for VP AR & SC and GM Contract Mining;
* Organising, participation and minute taking at AR & SC Leadership Team meetings and coordinating and planning Contracts Mines meetings;
* Processing of AMEX and Departmental VISA accounts;
* Payment of invoices via GSAP;
* Assisting in the preparation of presentations and information releases to a high standard;
* Managing confidential and sensitive matters with diplomacy;
* An overriding commitment and awareness of BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s safety requirements.

Skills & Experience

The individual we seek will have solid experience (min 5yrs) in a Senior Assistant role, in a similar dynamic environment. You will be energetic, organised, structured and disciplined. You understand the importance of deadlines and deal well with change and ambiguity. You will thrive on a challenge and know how to pull a group together.

Your high level communication capacity, team player attitude and your desire to achieve in a stimulating environment will be the key to ensuring your success in this role.

Technically, you will have advanced skills across the Microsoft Suite of programs and ideally a detailed working knowledge of SAP and TEMS.
