BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) is the world’s largest seaborne coking coal supplier. BMA operates nine mine sites and a coal loading port in Central Queensland.

Saraji is an open cut operation which uses draglines and truck and shovel fleets to expose, haul and produce over 8 mtpa of hard coking coal. Our employees live in Dysart - a modern town of 3,500, 240km from Mackay and the Whitsunday Coast

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, an opportunity currently exists for a skilled and experienced Boilermaker in the Mobile Maintenance section of the Maintenance Department.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate:

* A Boilermaker Trade Qualification
* Several years experience in heavy industry
* An ability to work and communicate well in a team environment,
* A strong commitment to ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace,
* The ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures.
* Communication and interpersonal skills to enable interaction with both production and maintenance personnel
* Experience in general fabrication and maintenance repairs.

The following qualifications/experience would be advantageous:

* Boom welding qualifications and experience
* Heavy fabrication and repairs.
* Mechanical Fitting Experience, CAT experience preferred
* Operation of Medium vehicles, Forklifts and Non-slewing cranes

This is a day shift position and the salary will be paid in accordance with the BHP Coal Pty Ltd Workplace Agreement 2007.
