Mobile Maintenance Fitter

Saraji Mine have an opportunity in our Mobile Maintenance section for five (8) Mobile Maintenance Fitters. The successful candidates will be dynamic individuals with a strong commitment and experience in mining equipment maintenance and report to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor. To be successful in this role a demonstrated commitment to achieving “Zero Harm” is essential.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications / Experience

Applicants should have mechanical fitting experience working in either coal or mineral operations.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate:

• A Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.

• A proven record of their commitment to safety;

• Experience in machinery breakdown and planned maintenance;

• A proven ability to participate in a multi skilled environment;

• A desire to broaden their own skills;

• An understanding of computer based maintenance systems eg. SAP.

The following additional qualifications or experience whilst not essential, will be highly regarded:

• Qualifications / experience in equipment operation (ie: franna, CAT);

The successful candidate will be required to pass a Coal Board Medical, Drug and Alcohol test and possess a current driver’s licence.
