THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a world- leading petroleum and petrochemical company to provide an experienced Contracts Advisor to work in Calgary, Alberta, in one of the country's most progressive centres with its near-perfect climate year-round. Our client will consider applications from all nationalities eligible for Canadian residency, but are particularly interested in Canadian citizens or residents. Calgary is a very rapidly growing city with an attractive low cost environment close to the magnificent Canadian Rockies. As Client has big workload would be required to undertake business trips. THE PERSON
Experience in contracting reviewing oil sands EPC contracts. Previous Management or supervisory experience in the oil and gas industry. Wide experience of different types of upstream projects and developing different types of upstream contracting strategies. Requires strong drafting and analytical skills, must be able to develop complex ITT and evaluation documentation; experienced and capable in performing complex and thorough evaluation of tender proposals; experienced negotiator of contractual and commercial agreements and associated provisions; skilled in the drafting and production of contractual agreements. Fully understands the relevant supply chains necessary for the support of oil and gas E&P operations in Australia. Must have previous Client experience.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree or equivalent in management, law, economics, finance, engineering or QS (ideally CIPS, NCMA, etc.). Good working knowledge of Contract Law, Finance, Treasury, Taxation, Insurance and Legal. Good people management skills. Excellent track record in implementing C&P best practices and techniques. Self-starter with ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated. Deliver professional approach to quality of work. Excellent team player, competent to participate in complex and routine matters. Fluent in written and spoken English.
