Melbourne - based staff position
Manage large scale mooring design, supply and installation projects
End to end project delivery
As an independent specialist marine consultancy, this company manages the design, manufacturing, installation and testing of mooring systems to various offshore assets. Its parent company is involved in highly specialised niche technology areas in offshore oil and gas, marine, defence and mining. They offer specialist services to construction companies, environmental consultants and government organisations.
Our client's particular specialisation is the field of advance mooring engineering, design, analysis and supply of specialist mooring systems for FPSO, barges and tugs. They require a Project Manager with oil and gas industry maritime exposure, involving large scale mooring design, supply and installation projects up to the value of $10m. The incumbent will be working closely with the company's CEO and will require someone with a background and a desire for some business development. This is a true end to end role that will leverage off your technical knowledge and construction experience. You will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery from concept to installation and commissioning and you will therefore need to demonstrate your competency with:
Contract negotiation, tendering and administration including the management of subcontractors.
Design management including time-estimates and procurement processes.
Cost and schedule reporting with attention to at least one industry standard planning application such as MS Project or Primavera P3/5/6
Health, Safety, Environment and Quality with Risk Management principles as is dictated by the offshore oil & gas industry. A particular exposure to the PSLA would be highly regarded.
Construction Management, commissioning and close-out experience.
