J.Ray McDermott is now accepting resumes for all levels of Flow Assurance Engineers.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare or review flow assurance design basis, project execution plan, specifications and bid documents
• Perform steady state and dynamic simulations using industry standard software, and prepare reports relating to pipe sizing, thermal performance, flow regime, slugging, chemical injection, start up, shut down, pigging, etc.
• Prepare operating strategy and philosophy reports including the mitigation and management of flow assurance related issues such as hydrates, paraffins, asphaltenes, oil gelling, corrosion, erosion, solids deposition, scaling, emulsions, etc.
• Prepare operating procedures and manuals to include flow assurance issues, valve testing, pigging, etc. for use by operators
• Provide bid engineering support relating to flow assurance engineering
• Establish productive and efficient relationships with key suppliers and contractor organizations with good value
• Oversea project progress, monitor change orders and attend regular meetings
Job Requirements:
• BS degree in engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Petroleum)
• Experience in both shallow and deep water operations with feasibility, conceptual, FEED and detailed flow assurance engineering of both single and multi-phase systems
• Awareness and knowledge of current related technologies, practices and vendors capabilities
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards
• Experience in using industry standard software including PIPESIM-NET, MULTIFLASH, OLGA2000 and PVTSIM
• Proficiency on Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must have good communication, writing and presentation skills, and excellent work ethics and work attitude; organizational skills a must
