Sr. Reservoir Geologist needed for a full-time employment opportunity in downtown Houston, TX with an independent oil and gas company. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in geology and a minimum of eight years experience in interpreting reservoir geology in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico using well and seismic information in order to identify reserves and future development opportunities. Must have the ability to build 3-D geological models for reservoir simulation studies and provide technical and quality control to projects, review outside studies to ensure quality results, and plan and monitor new wells. Requirements include experience using GeoQuest software, geostatistical modeling experience, high technical skills using Petrel for geocellular modeling, and an in-depth understanding of applying 3-D static reservoir modeling techniques to a range of reservoirs and reservoir problems with the ability to recognize and assess the key issues pertaining to reservoir settings and architecture.
