To support RasGas' EH5 Management System through development and implementation of required environmental elements. The position is an environmental generalist requiring qualifications in air quality, waste management, ground water monitoring, water discharge quality and hazardous materials management.
Knowledge Skills and Experience: This position requires an experienced and motivated individual. Possession of a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Degree is essential with post-graduate study in Environmental Protection desirable. Experience with implementation of Total Quality Management and statistical process control are highly desirable. A minimum of five years working at a responsible level in a world-class process industry committed to excellence in EHS performance is considered essential. Incumbent must have a service focus to delivery quality support in timely and cost effective manner and an ability to participate and lead teams of co-workers is a prerequisite. Highly developed influencing and communication skills are a fundamental requirement.
RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) is one of the premier integrated liquefied natural gas (LNG) enterprises in the world. Since its creation in 1993, RasGas has developed world class facilities for the extraction, storage, processing and export of LNG, and has entered into long term agreements to supply LNG to customers in Korea, India, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Taiwan and the United States of America. RasGas currently operates six LNG trains with 20.7 million tones per annum (Mta) of production capacity. It is expected that production will be approximately 37 Mta by 2009 with the completion of seven trains.
