VB.NET and SQL Programmer needed for a contract to permanent opportunity in Houston, TX. The ideal match for this position will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science and three to five years of experience developing applications with. NET and SQL, n-tier software architecture and web services competencies, and a working history in the oil and gas industry. Responsibilities include building or expanding existing applications for production and oil field management, implementing application according to design and developing prototypes, writing server-side code for web based applications and create web services using. NET. Additional duties include creating desktop user interfaces using. NET and third party components, creating website applications using. NET, preparing reports using SQL server 2008 Reporting Services, and creating or modifying existing SQL server 2008 queries, views and stored procedures, software manuals, and training materials. Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
