POSITION DESCRIPTION: The candidate is expected to perform strategic technology analysis, assess technology trends, establish collaboration and alliances with international technology centers, manage a balanced technology portfolio, advise on areas of upstream research, develop KPIs, and all related R&D management functions.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Advanced degree in petroleum engineering, earth science or related majors is required; however a PhD degree is preferred. Extensive Industry and academic experience is also required. Demonstrated abilities to conduct the tasks described will be evident through career accomplishments, technical publications and industry recognition. The candidate must be able to represent Aramco effectively in international contacts and command technical respect.
