Reservoir Geologist needed for a full-time employment opportunity in downtown Houston, TX, with an independent oil and gas company. The ideal match for this position will have a minimum of three years of experience in interpreting reservoir geology in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico using well and seismic information in order to identify reserves and future development opportunities. Must have the ability to build 3-D geological models for reservoir simulation studies and provide technical and quality control to projects, review outside studies to ensure quality results, and plan and monitor new wells. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in geology, geostatistical modeling experience, high technical skills using Petrel for geocellular modeling, and an in-depth understanding of applying 3-D static reservoir modeling techniques to a range of reservoirs and reservoir problems with the ability to recognize and assess the key issues pertaining to reservoir settings and architecture.
