Qualifications:
An engineering degree;
8 to 12 years of related industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years of direct involvement in reservoir engineering;
the ability to identify and assess upside value in asset acquisition;
exposure to reservoir simulation in conventional reservoirs;
sound analytical and integration skills - attention to detail is important;
results oriented and decisive -solid business acumen;
excellent communication, interpersonal and team focused skills;
strong organizational and project management abilities; and a high degree of self-confidence - able to work independently as well as being a key contributor on the team.
Responsibilities:
assisting a multi-disciplined team to create additional value on existing assets;
developing and implementing pool reservoir depletion plans;
conducting monthly reservoir management analysis on waterflood projects;
providing input into the annual reserves assessment;
providing input and/or direction in the assessment and implementation of enhanced oil recovery schemes on existing assets; and coordinating and/or conducting pressure transient analysis.
