Location: South East Asia
Residential Senior Drilling Engineer required for long-term role for Oil Major in South East Asia starting October 2009.

You will be expected to be able to prepare a drilling and work type program for subsea wells. You will be responsible for setting up a drilling Engineering file system and preparation of the basic well programs and other engineering documents required in the drilling, workover and testing of subsea wells. When required, you will also act as primary back-up for the Drilling Superintendent.

You will be expected to visit the rig before critical operations to review procedures and help the Drilling Supervisor execute them. The split between office and rig should be 80/20.

Essentially you will need to be self-motivated and self-directed, with a good background of practical engineering combined with field experience. Ideally you will have previously held an offshore Supervisory position also.
