POSITION DESCRIPTION
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, including machinery and equipment related to the Operations and Catering Departments, and emergency equipment.
Principle Functions of the Position:
Carry out maintenance activities in accordance with the MMS, ensuring:
All maintenance and maintenance related activities are carried out to the highest standards;
All test and inspection routines required by the MMS are completed;
Proper records are maintained.
Examine machine parts for wear and determine root cause of excessive wear.
Align and couple rotating machines and drivers.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble machine parts; repairing and/or substituting pieces damaged or worn.
Safety Critical Functions
Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of emergency plant, equipment and machinery.
Experience Factors
Minimum 5 years offshore experience.
Previous experience with responsibility for maintenance of hydrocarbon process and marine plant and equipment.
Previous FPSO experience.
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
Recognized Technical or Academic Qualification
Offshore Survival / Firefighting with HUET
Fire Team
Permit to Work – Level 3
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
Knowledge of the COMPANY Maintenance Philosophy, Safety Critical Elements (SCE's), and the Combined Written Scheme for Examination and Verification of SCE's.
Thorough knowledge of the PTW system and risk assessment procedures.
Knowledge of mechanical, instrument and electrical systems.
Understanding of production and marine systems, including the principles of all hydrocarbon systems and their safety critical interfaces and dependencies.
