Job descriptionOur major operator client require an Engineering Manager to be based in Shajah with a future move to Algeria
Main responsibilities:
ƒx Monitor the execution and progress of all phases of detailed engineering and procurement. Work with the construction and commissioning teams to progress up to the final acceptance of the work within the project milestones.
ƒx Control and report the engineering Project Budget man-hours, costs and schedule.
ƒx Liaise with and communicate at all times with all project and operational teams to ensure project goals and objectives are achieved.
Requirementsƒx Mechanical, Process, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer degree level or equivalent, plus additional training in project management skills. Professional Engineer qualifications
ƒx Extensive experience primarily in engineering management and working on major capital oil and gas projects both for an Operator as well as for an internationally recognized Contractor.
ƒx Management of project budgets in the order of $ 300 million/year.
ƒx Management of teams and interface with all project teams and groups with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ƒx Management of the numerous and complex relationships between companies and subcontractors involved in a successful project.
ƒx Influential in decision making regarding the facility costs, schedules and quality.
ƒx Able to work and write using the English language.
ƒx Knowledge of French would be a distinct advantage.
ƒx Technical and financial management abilities.
ƒx Competent in contract negotiations.
ƒx Ability to lead a multi-discipline engineering team who are supervising the work of several EPC Contractors.
