Reservoir Engineer needed for a full-time opportunity in Houston, TX. The ideal match for this position will have a master’s degree in petroleum engineering and at least five years experience with coal bed methane (CBM) and shale gas unconventional reservoirs. Responsibilities include preparation of field development plans including assessment of different development concepts and integration with operations, reservoir engineering including reservoir management and surveillance plans for CBM assets, construction of dynamic reservoir models for CBM assets via integration of geological, petrophysical and engineering data including detailed reservoir simulation studies, identifying and driving low cost CBM approach to development activities in conjunction with drilling and completions teams and reserves assessments and economic evaluation. Qualifications include five or more years experience in reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation experience, preferably with more than one software package and some exposure to CBM operational environment. The candidate must be an ARIES user.
