Reports to: Marine Operations Department
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct all crane operations on the installation in a safe and efficient manner.
Principle Functions of the Position:
Has responsibility for all onboard lifting operations.
Ensure the correct operation, inspection and maintenance of cranes, maintaining records of inspection and reporting any deficiencies to the Vessel Marine Superintendent.
Maintain a Manifest’s Register of in/out lifting cargo load
Safety Critical Functions
Participate in all emergency drills with duties as determined by the Station Bill and Emergency Response Manual.
Experience Factors
Minimum 5 years offshore experience.
Minimum 2 years experience as an offshore crane operator.
Previous FPSO experience.
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
Good standard of literacy (English language) and mathematical skills
Offshore Crane Operator license
Formal qualification in lifting, slinging, and rigging
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
Good working knowledge of offshore cranes, slinging and rigging techniques.
Knowledge of certification and inspection requirements for lifting equipment.
Awareness of hazards and risks of offshore lifting operations.
