POSITION DESCRIPTION
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out the operation of process plant and production related equipment safely and efficiently, under the direction of the Process Superintendent and Production Supervisor.
Ensure that the PTW and Isolation system is adhered to and managed.
Principle Functions of the Position:
Responsible for the shift supervision of Production staff and contractors.
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of process plant, systems and equipment, and associated equipment, during the shift, and to ensure proper handovers during shift change.
Monitor and control all process-related equipment via the FCS and other control panels during the shift.
Safety Critical Functions
Provide the Process Superintendent / Production Supervisor and the OIM with information during an emergency and assist with emergency response as per procedures and instructions.
Perform the duty of Permit Issuer, monitoring for permit conflict within areas.
Ensure isolations are in compliance with the COMPANY Isolation Philosophy and PTW system.
Experience Factors
Minimum 5 years offshore experience.
Minimum 5 years experience as an operator / technician for high- pressure hydrocarbon process plant.
Previous FPSO experience.
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
Good standard of literacy (English language) and mathematical skills
Technical apprenticeship to City and Guilds or an equivalent training scheme
COMPANY Competency Based Training – Processing Ops: Hydrocarbons Level 3
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
Ability to work as part of a small multi-discipline team and to motivate others.
Knowledge of mechanical, instrument and electrical systems.
Understanding of the purpose of control systems and the causes and effects of significant alarm trips.
