A nationally recognized, oil and gas company is actively seeking a Sr. Process Engineer for their growing company in Denver, CO.
Job Description:
The candidate should be capable of performing a high level of technical support for oil and gas facilities and natural gas plant. The candidate should also be capable of performing front-end engineering design with hands-on experience in designing and executing projects. This person will be responsible for providing engineering solutions along with recommending and executing capital projects.
Successful candidate is expected to:
-Provide day-to-day engineering support to operations staff in the optimization and resolution of plant operational problems.
-Develop process simulation models using HYSYS.
-Forecast facility loading and recommend projects to insure sufficient capacity and efficient operations.
-Formulate and implement long-tem strategies to improve operations and reduce costs.
-Develop process monitoring and optimization tools to evaluate impact of process variables on profitability.
-Serve as an advisor to management on process related operational issues.
-Provide technical direction in specialized areas to outside design contractors on capital projects.
-Prepare capital spending estimates and economic evaluations to support recommendations.
-Prepare annual capital budget forecasts.
-Be able to fluently present technical and non technical issues.
-Work closely with the EH&S staff to insure compliance with all regulations and permits and assist with technical input to permit submittals and compliance with regulatory bodies.
-Provide technical expertise and actively participate in the Process Safety Management program for various Whiting facilities.
-Work with Operations Engineers and Geologic staff to evaluate and develop facility plans for new projects.
Required Experience:
-10 yrs of professional engineering experience in the oil and gas industry
-BS degree in Chemical Engineering
-Proficient with OSHA 1910
-Proficient with HYSYS
-Experience with sour gas sweetening processes and gas conditioning
-Proficient in design and operation of complex gas gathering systems
Required Skills for Process Engineer Job:
BS DEGREE IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
MINIMUM 10 YRS EXPERIENCE IN THE OIL AND GAS OR SIMILAR PROCESS INDUSTRY
EXPERIENCE WITH SOUR GAS SWEETENING PROCESSES
EXPERIENCE WITH GAS CONDITIONING
PROFICIENT WITH HYSYS AND OTHERS
PROFICIENT WITH OSHA 1910 PROCESS SAFETY MANAGEMENT
PROFICIENT IN DESIGN AND OPERATION OF COMPLEX GAS GATHERING SYSTEMS
