A marketer/producer of natural gas and oil is seeking qualified candidates to join the organization’s natural gas scheduling team. This individual will focus primarily on nominating and scheduling activities for multiple transportation pipeline systems.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all scheduling functions related to the transportation of natural gas take place in an accurate and timely manner.
Scheduling all nominations in the respective external pipeline scheduling systems and inputting this data into internal systems.
Communicating with 3rd party customers, traders, pipelines and/or appropriate others to insure proper and timely flow of gas.
Reconciling pipeline activity and pipeline statements to internal systems and/or any supporting spreadsheets.
Involvement in making economic decisions in routing gas and managing imbalances.
Develop and utilize appropriate forecasting models to project customer requirements under various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
Due to the level of detail and complexity of this position, accuracy, communication and decision making skills are critical.
Bachelors’ degree, preferably in a quantitative or technical discipline. Experience in the natural gas industry is a plus.
Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet required deadlines.
