THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a leading Oil & Gas Energy company to provide a Rig Electrician. This could turn to be a full time position for the right person. The Rig is a Drillship with a very good expat crew and is scheduled to depart Libya within the next few weeks and head to Malta shipyard for upgrade and repair works. Will be required to travel / work as required. T&Cs negotiable. Excellent internationally competitive daily rate.
THE PERSON
Assists the Chief Electrician in ensuring the effective operation of all electrical equipment and systems on board the drilling rig. Reports to the Chief Electrician at the start of shift and the Toolpusher during shift. Minimum 1 year post apprenticeship experience in mining, refining, marine, or heavy industry or proven experience as a Rig Electrician for another offshore drilling company. This experience must be verified with previous employers. Completion of all mandatory training and certification requirements for Rig Electrician for offshore vessel specific training matrix. Any other training and certificates deemed appropriate by the OIM and / or Operations Manager. Responsibilities: Regulatory and Corporate Compliance; Risk Management; Emergency Response; HSE Function; Operations; Maintenance; Training and Development; Communications.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ideal candidates will have an Electrical trade qualification. UKOOA Medical, Fire Fighting and Survival Offshore Certification. Excellent communication and presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a multi-cultural environment and demonstrate effective organisational skills.
